Medical-Surgical/Telemetry RN — Night Shift | Maryville, TN

13-Week Contract | 3x12 Nights (19:00–07:30)

This Med-Surg/Telemetry unit cares for an adult and geriatric population with a focus on general medical and pre/post-operative patients. The unit also manages post-heart catheterization care and a range of bedside procedures.

Clinical Scope & Procedures

• Post-heart cath monitoring and care
• Bedside procedures: dialysis catheter insertion, thoracentesis, incision & drainage (I&D)
• Cardiac drip management (no titration), dysrhythmia interpretation
• Pre/post hemodialysis management, central line and PICC line care
• Blood product administration, heparin protocols, PCA management
• Wound care/wound vac, continuous bladder irrigation, feeding tube management

Schedule & Coverage

• 3x12-hour night shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Every other weekend required (subject to change based on unit need)
• Float to similar units required as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Tennessee
• Minimum 1 year of Med-Surg/Telemetry experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of experience with a major electronic medical records system
• First-time travelers considered based on experience

Vaccines

• Flu vaccine required — no exemptions
• COVID-19 vaccine not required

Additional Notes

• Pre-assignment testing and online modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials; up to 16 hours of module time is reimbursable
• Orientation is held every Monday
• Extension policy applies; travelers may not extend beyond three consecutive 13-week contracts without a separation period
