Travel RN – Medical Surgical Telemetry | Maryville, TN | Night Shift

Contract Details

• Schedule: 3x12 Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: November 16, 2026

Unit Overview

This Medical Surgical Telemetry unit cares for an adult and geriatric patient population with a daily census of approximately 30 patients. Clinical focus includes general medical and pre/post-operative care, with a strong emphasis on post-heart catheterization management and a variety of bedside procedures including dialysis catheter insertion, thoracentesis, and incision & drainage.

Clinical Skills & Procedures

• Cardiac drip management, dysrhythmia interpretation, and telemetry monitoring
• Central line and PICC line care, port access, and peripheral IV management
• Pre/post hemodialysis management
• Blood product administration and heparin protocol management
• PCA management, wound care/wound VAC, and CBI
• Feeding tube care and TR band management

Interdisciplinary Support

IV therapy, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response, phlebotomy, radiology, and social services are all available on unit.

Scheduling

• Weekend coverage required every other weekend (subject to change based on need)
• Float to similar units required based on census needs

Requirements

• Active RN Tennessee license
• Minimum 1 year Med-Surg/Telemetry experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of electronic health record experience required
• Flu vaccine required; no exemptions accepted
• Pre-assignment testing and online modules must be completed within 48 hours of system access (up to 16 hours of module time is reimbursable)
