Blood Bank Technologist
Position Overview
The facility seeks a Blood Bank Technologist for a 13-week contract. You'll work the evening shift (12:30 PM – 11:00 PM), four 10-hour days per week, in a busy blood bank serving adult and neonatal patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform blood typing, antibody screening, and crossmatching
- Operate blood bank analyzers and maintain testing equipment
- Process and manage blood products using Erytra Gel and Tube methodologies
- Document results accurately in the laboratory information system
- Collaborate with phlebotomy, transfusion services, and clinical staff
Required Qualifications
- Current ASCP or AMT certification
- Blood bank experience preferred
- Proficiency with laboratory information systems
Shift & Schedule
- 12:30 PM – 11:00 PM
- Four 10-hour shifts per week (40 hours)
- On-call hours expected as part of standard blood bank operations
- Start date: November 16, 2026
