Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
Position Overview
The facility's Radiology department is seeking an experienced Registered Vascular Technologist to join the vascular sonography team on an evening shift basis.
Shift & Schedule
- Evening shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
- Rotating weekend coverage and call
- 40 guaranteed hours per week
- No self-scheduling; block scheduling in place
- 13-week contract
Clinical Scope
You'll perform comprehensive vascular ultrasound studies, including all vascular procedures. You'll work independently in a focused sonography department with four ultrasound machines and collaborate with an in-house radiologist and vascular surgeon who interpret studies. No float responsibilities; you'll remain in your specialty area.
Requirements
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) through ARDMS OR Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) through CCI
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Imaging Program
- Minimum 2 years of vascular imaging experience
- BLS Certification
- Current license
Work Environment
- Black scrubs (you provide)
- No IV starts required
- Radiology Supervisor and Lead Tech on staff
Contract Terms
- 2 shift cancellations permitted per 13-week assignment
- No holiday requirement
- Rotating weekend call currently in place; staffing adjustments may reduce this
