Emergency Department RN — Travel Contract

Greensboro, NC | Nights | 4x12 | 20-Week Contract

This is an urgent opening in a combined adult/pediatric, non-trauma Emergency Department. The ideal candidate is available to start by October 26 and must be on-site for coverage beginning the October 30 weekend.

Schedule

• 4x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Minimum 8 weekend shifts per contract; holiday coverage as needed
• Float to other campus locations required as needed

Clinical Scope

• across all acuity levels; patient population includes pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Blood product administration, phlebotomy, IV starts and maintenance
• Central line care and management
• Continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation administration
• CPAP/BiPAP management, ventilated patient care, ABG interpretation
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and EKG monitoring; CVA management

Required Certifications

• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale), PALS

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
• First-time travelers welcome
• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• Electronic health record experience required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
• No local candidates within 50 miles

Compliance Notes

• RTO must be submitted with application; no post-submission changes accepted
• Third-party education verification required
• No open background check cases permitted
• Non-billable orientation modules average 2–4 hours
