Emergency Department RN — Travel Contract

Greensboro, NC | Nights | 13 Weeks

This is an urgent opening for an experienced Emergency Department RN in a combined Adult/Pediatric, non-trauma ED. The position is available for an ASAP start, with October 26 as the absolute latest start date.

Shift & Schedule

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3x12-hour shifts
• 36/48-hour rotating weeks available for interested candidates
• At least 8 weekend shifts required per contract
• Holidays as needed
• Float to other campus locations may be required

Required Certifications

• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS

Clinical Skills & Scope

• experience required
• Blood product administration, phlebotomy, IV insertion and maintenance
• Central line care and management
• Continuous IV sedation and IV vasopressors
• Procedural sedation administration and monitoring
• CPAP/BiPAP management, ABG interpretation, ventilated patient care
• Dysrhythmia interpretation/EKG
• Patient population: pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ED experience; first-time travelers welcome
• Electronic health record experience required
• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
• No open background check cases
• RTO must be submitted with application — no post-submission requests accepted
• No local candidates within 50 miles of the facility
• Current driver's license required to verify address
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

Orientation: Approximately 12 hours; non-billable compliance modules average 2–4 hours.
