Stepdown RN – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for its stepdown unit. You'll care for patients transitioning from intensive care, managing moderate acuity cases and providing close monitoring during recovery. Potential exists to float to related stepdown units caring for similar patient populations.
Shift & Schedule
- 3x12-hour rotating shifts
- Day: 07:00–19:30 | Night: 19:00–07:30
- Shifts may rotate as needed to meet operational demands; the facility will work to honor your preference
- At least every other holiday required
Required Qualifications
- 12 months of permanent experience in stepdown nursing
- Permanent Ohio nursing license or compact state license (must be in hand at submission)
- Active BLS (AHA or American Red Cross), ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Orientation & Assessments
During onboarding, you'll complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment. Acceptable scores on both are required to continue. You'll have two attempts to pass each assessment.
What We Need From You
- One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in your specialty (from the past 12 months; no peer references)
- All certifications active and in hand before start date
- Background clearance eligibility (BCI/FBI prints must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing)
- Clean background and license record
Contract Details
- 13-week assignment
- Start: November 20, 2026
- Extensions available (up to 18 months with facility approval)
