Night Shift RN — Med/Tele Complex Care
Unit Overview
Join a medical/telemetry complex care unit providing acute care to patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and skilled nursing assessment. You'll manage a diverse patient population across day-to-day clinical challenges on a busy night shift.
Position Details
- Shift: Nights, 12-hour (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week
- Weekend Commitment: 1 shift per week or 2 shifts every other weekend
- Contract: 16 weeks
- Start Date: December 1, 2026
- Location: Rochester, NY (candidates must reside more than 50 miles away)
Requirements
- Active New York RN license
- AHA BLS certification
- 2 years acute hospital experience
- 1 recent year in med/surg or telemetry
- (Non-U.S. candidates: 2 years U.S. work history)
Expectations
- Willingness to work charge nurse duties (training provided if needed)
- Float to other units as facility needs require
- Flexibility with scheduling; block booking may be available but is not guaranteed
- Must work at least 1 holiday during contract
- 112 guaranteed hours across the 16-week assignment
What You'll Need
Proficiency with electronic health records and strong night-shift resilience. You'll be part of a collaborative team supporting complex patients throughout the evening and overnight hours.
