CT Technologist – 12-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility's radiology department is seeking a CT technologist for an 84-week assignment. You'll perform high-volume imaging in a busy acute-care setting, managing 16–24 scans daily across emergency and inpatient populations.
Shift & Schedule
- Wednesday & Thursday: 12:00 PM – 12:00 AM
- Every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- Possible on-call with 30-minute response time (every 6th week; backup coverage only—always staff in-house)
- Call rotation timing varies based on your assigned week
- Guaranteed 40 hours per week
Facility Details
You'll float between two nearby campuses (16 minutes apart) as needed. The department operates with in-house radiology coverage during daytime hours; virtual coverage (ER physician) handles emergencies at night.
Clinical Scope
- CT imaging with and without contrast
- ER and inpatient referrals
- IV placement required
- Three GE scanners available (one 16-slice, two 64-slice)
Requirements
- BLS (AHA)
- ARRT (CT) certification
- Texas MRT license
- ER and inpatient CT experience preferred
- Black scrubs (not provided)
Important Notes
- No prior direct employment with CommonSpirit-affiliated facilities within the past year
- Call-outs are strongly discouraged
- May be asked to precept as needed
- Department-specific orientation provided
- Weekends and occasional holidays rotate in
