Registered Nurse – ICU

About the Role
The facility's ICU is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to deliver direct, comprehensive care to critically ill patients. You'll manage high-acuity patients requiring intensive monitoring, hemodynamic support, and advanced life support interventions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients with continuous monitoring and assessment
- Manage advanced life support equipment including ventilators, arterial lines, central lines, and hemodynamic monitors
- Administer medications including titratable vasoactive and sedation drips per physician orders
- Perform rapid response and code interventions as needed
- Assess and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with intensivists and interdisciplinary teams on patient care plans
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
- Educate patients and families on condition and treatment plan
- Follow infection control and safety protocols
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in New York State
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor's Degree (BSN)
- Minimum 2 years of critical care experience
- Minimum 2 years of conscious sedation experience
- BLS and ACLS certification (current)
- Primary Source Verification of License from NYS Department of Education
- Experience with critical care equipment, ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and titratable drips
Preferred Qualifications
- CCRN certification
- Additional ICU or critical care experience
