Dialysis Nurse – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
Join the dialysis team providing in-hospital hemodialysis (IHD) services in both a dedicated dialysis unit and at the bedside of ICU patients. You'll connect and disconnect patients from peritoneal dialysis treatment and deliver care to stable and high-acuity dialysis patients.
Schedule & Location
- Shift: Day, 3x12-hour (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
- On-call rotation and every other weekend
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: November 13, 2026
- Location: Cleveland, OH
Requirements
- Minimum 18 months recent dialysis experience (permanent position preferred)
- Active Ohio license or current compact state license in hand at time of submission
- BLS (American Red Cross) and ACLS certifications – active and in hand
- One professional reference (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director from past 12 months in dialysis specialty) – co-worker references not accepted
- Background check and drug screen required
Clinical Details
You'll work with patients requiring dialysis support, managing both stable outpatient dialysis and critically ill ICU patients. Primary experience with Fresenius machines; full equipment orientation provided. Note: CRRT therapy and Tablo machines are managed by ICU nursing staff.
Pre-Start Assessments
ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments completed during orientation (2 attempts to pass each).

All requirements are non-negotiable. Timely background clearance and drug screen completion required.
