ICU Registered Nurse – Observation Unit
Position Overview
Join the Observation Unit near the Emergency Department in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You'll care for patients across a range of acuities—from lower to higher acuity cases and observation holds—in a medical and trauma overflow setting. This role offers the opportunity to expand your clinical skills while supporting a collaborative nursing team.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts, 3 days per week)
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 13-week contract
- Holidays are an expectation
- Float to other areas of competency as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience in a related specialty
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- TNCC certification preferred
What You'll Do
Manage diverse patient needs in an observation unit setting, providing direct care, monitoring patient status, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support effective transitions of care—especially those moving between the ED and inpatient settings.
