Medical-Surgical / Neurology RN — Night Shift | Lakewood, CO

Contract: 13 weeks | Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Guaranteed Hours: 36/week | Start Date: November 16, 2026

This unit specializes in neurological and medical-surgical care, managing patients with stroke, spinal conditions, neuro trauma, and general acute care diagnoses. Nurses administer set-rate drips including analgesics, anticoagulants, and antihypertensives. Telemetry monitoring is centrally managed off the unit; RNs must be competent in reading their own strips independently.

Scheduling & Requirements

• Minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Float potential to ICU (low-acuity holds within skillset), PCU/Stepdown, and Med-Surg Tele based on unit need
• Charge nurses do not carry a patient assignment
• Nurse aide support available on the unit
• Moderate respiratory/oxygen needs; no drip titration required
• Self-scheduling and block scheduling options available

Contract Details

• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts over a 13-week assignment
• Clinicians must be physically present in-state for the full week of orientation, even if initial modules are completed remotely
• Valid driver's license required; must reside within 60 miles of the facility

Required

• Active RN license (Colorado or compact)
• BLS (AHA)
• Acute care nursing experience
• Telemetry strip competency
