Registered Nurse – Acute Neuro Med-Surg
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its acute neurology unit. You'll work 12-hour night shifts (7 PM–7 AM) caring for patients in a neurosurgical and acute neuro medical setting, including overflow bed assignments.
Schedule & Contract
- Shift: 7 PM–7 AM, varies
- 12-hour nights
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 13-week contract
- Must work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent specialty experience in acute neurology or neurosurgery nursing
- AHA BLS Certification (required)
- ACLS Certification (preferred)
- Current RN license
What You'll Do
Provide direct patient care in an acute neuro unit managing complex neurological and post-operative neurosurgical patients. You'll assess neuro status, manage medications, monitor post-procedure recovery, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
