Medical-Surgical Travel Nurse | Sioux City, IA
This Med-Surg travel nursing position is based in Sioux City, IA on a general medicine unit. The facility serves a diverse general medical patient population with opportunities to float within the same discipline across local campuses.
Assignment Details
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 36 or 48 hours/week
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: November 9, 2026
- Orientation Dates: November 9, November 23, or December 7
Schedule & Expectations
- Every other weekend required
- Must work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day)
- Limited time-off requests during 11/25–11/29 and 12/23–12/27
- Float to additional med-surg floors within the facility as needed
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of Med-Surg experience
- Electronic health record experience in a major clinical system
- Active Iowa RN license or qualifying compact license
- Active BLS (AHA preferred; ARC or U.S. Military certificates accepted)
- Valid driver's license
- Med-Surg–specific skills checklist
- One supervisory reference completed within the last two years
Preferred
- Heparin drip experience

- All candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
