Medical-Surgical RN — Night Shift | Nashville, TN

This 13-week contract (with potential for extension) places you on a general Medical-Surgical unit in Nashville, TN, caring for a diverse adult patient population requiring strong assessment and monitoring skills.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday) required; weekday scheduling is flexible

Unit Overview

The unit is a general Med-Surg floor supported by PCTs on both shifts. You'll manage patients requiring wound care, remote telemetry monitoring, and virtual patient observation. Float opportunities exist between Med-Surg units on a PRN basis.

Clinical Responsibilities & Skills

• IV insertion and management
• Foley catheter placement
• Wound VAC management
• Telemetry monitoring
• Adherence to hourly rounding and bedside shift reporting protocols

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong clinical assessment skills
• Experience with IV pump operation and medication dispensing cabinet use
• BLS certification (required)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification (required)
• CPI certification (preferred)
• Active RN license
