Schedule: Every other weekend

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

About the Role

You'll provide continuous cardiac monitoring and nursing care to patients with acute cardiac and other complex conditions. This role requires strong clinical assessment skills, the ability to interpret rhythms and identify arrhythmias, and the capacity to respond quickly to patient changes and escalate care when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform continuous cardiac monitoring; interpret rhythms and identify arrhythmias
• Administer cardiac medications, including drips and antiarrhythmics, per physician orders
• Assess, monitor, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams on the plan of care
• Respond to rapid response and code interventions
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, treatment plans, and lifestyle modifications
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR
• Ensure infection control and fall prevention protocols
• Manage a typical patient load per facility acuity guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (state or compact)
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 1+ years of telemetry experience
• Demonstrated competency in EKG interpretation and cardiac rhythm monitoring
• Experience managing cardiac medications
