Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for its telemetry unit. You'll provide continuous cardiac monitoring and nursing care to patients with cardiac and other acute conditions, working collaboratively with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver safe, effective, patient-centered care.

Shift & Duration

• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• 13-week contract
• Start date: November 22, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide continuous cardiac monitoring and interpret cardiac rhythms; identify and escalate arrhythmias promptly
• Administer medications, including cardiac drips and antiarrhythmics, per physician orders
• Assess, monitor, and respond to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians, and interdisciplinary team on plan of care
• Respond to rapid response and code interventions as needed
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, treatment, and lifestyle modifications
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the EMR
• Manage a typical patient load per facility acuity guidelines
• Maintain infection control and fall prevention protocols
• Mentor and support licensed and non-licensed staff members

Requirements

• Active RN license (state or compact)
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2 years acute care RN experience with telemetry focus
• Telemetry/EKG interpretation competency required
• Experience monitoring cardiac rhythms and managing cardiac medications
