Operating Room Registered Nurse

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN to provide circulating and/or scrub nursing support across a variety of surgical specialties. You'll work in a dynamic surgical environment, managing patient care, sterile fields, and collaboration with surgeons and anesthesia providers to ensure safe, efficient case flow.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform circulating and/or scrub nursing duties during general surgical, orthopedic, gynecologic, urologic, ENT, and other surgical procedures
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields, instruments, and equipment
• Conduct pre-operative assessments; verify surgical site, consent, and procedure per protocol
• Perform accurate instrument, sponge, and needle counts before, during, and after procedures
• Monitor patient status and safety throughout surgical cases
• Manage supplies and equipment, ensuring proper function and availability
• Document intraoperative care, including counts, medications, and patient status
• Assist with patient positioning, prepping, and post-operative handoff to recovery staff

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (state or compact license)
• 1+ years of general OR experience
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Ability to function in both circulating and scrub roles across multiple surgical specialties
• ADN or BSN

Preferred Qualifications

• CNOR certification
• BSN degree

Schedule

• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 13-week contract
• Start: November 15, 2026
