Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical Unit
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, 4 days per week (12-hour shifts)
- Every other weekend; no call required
- 48 guaranteed hours per week
- 13-week contract
About the Role
You'll provide direct patient care on a medical-surgical unit, supporting patients across a range of diagnoses and acuity levels. You may be asked to float to similar units within the same campus or to another campus in the Wichita area based on patient census and operational needs.
Requirements
- Current RN license (verification required for submission)
- BLS certification (or equivalent)
- Immunizations: MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Hepatitis B, Influenza
- 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot)
- Fit test
- Physical health assessment and health statement
- Criminal background check
- Professional references and employment verification
Onboarding
You'll complete unit-specific competencies, EKG certification, and system training (including EHR familiarity) as part of your onboarding. Plan for standard pre-employment health screenings and credentialing requirements.
