Telemetry RN – 13-Week Contract

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for its telemetry unit. You'll provide comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to adult patients with medical, surgical, and cardiac conditions in a structured, supportive environment.

Schedule & Contract Details

• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, 12-hour shifts
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Location: Paducah, KY

Key Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing cardiac rhythm and vital sign monitoring; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans aligned with the interdisciplinary team
• Administer medications and treatments, including cardiac drips, per physician orders
• Manage pre- and post-operative care, including wound management and pain control
• Coordinate discharge planning and patient/family education on conditions, treatments, and self-care
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record
• Maintain infection control and fall prevention standards
• Care for a typical patient load of 4–6 patients per shift

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license (or compact license) in Kentucky
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• 1+ years of medical-surgical or telemetry nursing experience
• Demonstrated competency in telemetry and EKG interpretation
• ADN or ASN; BSN preferred
