Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract assignment in the Telemetry unit. You'll provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to adult patients with medical, surgical, and cardiac conditions in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Schedule & Contract Details

• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, 12-hour shifts
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Location: Paducah, KY

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments and implement individualized care plans using the nursing process
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments, including cardiac drips, per physician orders
• Manage pre- and post-operative care, including wound care and pain management
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care and facilitate discharge planning with case management
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions
• Accurately document assessments and interventions in the electronic medical record
• Manage a typical patient load of 4–6 patients per shift
• Maintain infection control and fall prevention standards

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky (or current compact license)
• BLS and ACLS certification
• ADN or ASN minimum (BSN preferred)
• 1+ year of medical-surgical or telemetry nursing experience
• Demonstrated telemetry/EKG interpretation competency
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
