Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Position Summary

The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its medical-surgical telemetry unit. You'll provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to adults with a wide range of medical, surgical, and cardiac conditions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care including comprehensive assessments, treatment implementation, and ongoing monitoring
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs, identifying and responding promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, including cardiac drips as applicable
• Manage pre- and post-operative care for surgical patients, including wound care and pain management
• Coordinate care for patients with chronic and acute conditions such as diabetes, cardiac, and respiratory diagnoses
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with physicians, cardiologists, case managers, and the interdisciplinary team on care planning and discharge coordination
• Ensure accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses
• Maintain infection control and fall prevention protocols
• Typical patient load: 4–6 patients per shift

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Kentucky (or compact license as applicable)
• ADN or ASN minimum; BSN preferred
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• 1+ years of medical-surgical or telemetry nursing experience
• Demonstrated telemetry and EKG interpretation competency
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills

Shift & Contract Details

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Start Date: November 12, 2026
• Location: Paducah, KY
