CVICU RN – 12-Hour Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). You will provide direct care to critically ill cardiac and cardiothoracic patients, including those recovering from open heart surgery on post-operative day zero.
Unit Details
This is a high-acuity critical care environment where you'll manage complex post-surgical cases, hemodynamic monitoring, and acute decompensations. The unit focuses on cardiac surgery recovery, acute cardiac conditions, and cardiothoracic interventions.
Requirements
- License: RN with current, unencumbered license
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Experience: Demonstrated CVICU or similar critical care experience required
- Vaccination: Current flu vaccination required (no exemptions)
Schedule & Contract
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Hours: 34.5 guaranteed hours per week
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: November 16, 2026
- Location: White Plains, NY
Clinical Scope
You will manage acute post-operative cardiac surgery patients, perform hemodynamic assessments, operate monitoring equipment, administer medications and fluids, and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team for optimal patient outcomes.
