Cardiac/Cardiovascular ICU RN – 12-Hour Nights
About the Role
The facility is seeking a Cardiac/Cardiovascular ICU RN to care for patients recovering from open-heart and cardiothoracic surgery. You'll manage high-acuity post-operative patients, including fresh cases on post-op day zero. This is a fast-paced critical care environment requiring strong clinical judgment and technical skills.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- 34.5 guaranteed hours per week
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- BSN required
- RN license (active, verifiable)
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Current flu vaccination (no exemptions)
- Prior experience with the facility's EHR system strongly preferred
What You'll Do
- Provide direct care to post-operative cardiac and cardiothoracic patients
- Monitor hemodynamics, chest tubes, and mechanical support devices
- Respond to rapid changes in patient condition
- Work collaboratively with cardiac surgery teams
