Emergency Department – Travel RN | Independence, MO

Days | 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM | 4x12s | 13-Week Contract

This is an active, high-volume Emergency Department role suited for adaptable clinicians who thrive under pressure. The unit operates around the clock with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, Advanced Paramedics, EDTs, team leads, and support staff on both shifts.

Clinical Scope

• Patients present across the full acuity spectrum, from low-acuity walk-ins to high-acuity emergencies
• Common procedures include IV starts, phlebotomy, and cardiac monitoring/interpretation
• Clinicians should be comfortable in fast-paced, high-volume environments

• 48 guaranteed hours per week

Required Certifications

• *RN:* BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, CPI
• *Medic:* BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI
• *All Staff:* BLS, CPI

Dress Code

• RN & Medic: Gray scrub top, black or gray scrub bottoms
• EDT/Secretary: Caribbean blue scrub top, Caribbean blue or black scrub bottoms
• Appropriately colored T-shirts permitted under an approved scrub jacket

Preferred Experience

• Previous high-pressure clinical environment
• Background as an RN, Paramedic, or allied health technician

Strong candidates will demonstrate adaptability and a team-first mindset. Those with prior ED or high-acuity experience will be prioritized.
