Blood Bank Technologist — Night Shift | Atlanta, GA | 13-Week Contract
This is a dedicated Blood Bank position within a busy downtown Atlanta facility, serving both adult and neonate patient populations. The role requires strong technical proficiency and the ability to work independently during overnight hours.
Shift & Schedule
- Nights: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
- 3 × 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours)
- Every other weekend required
- No RTO requests will be approved
Clinical Scope
- Perform blood banking procedures using Gel and Tube methodologies
- Experience with blood bank analyzer technology for routine and complex testing
- Support both adult and neonatal patient populations
- Maintain accuracy and compliance within a high-volume transfusion service
Requirements
- Certification: ASCP or AMT required
- Blood bank experience is essential — this is not a generalist position
- Familiarity with blood bank information systems and laboratory analyzers strongly preferred
