Registered Nurse – ICU

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

About the Role

The facility's ICU is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients. You will manage high-acuity patients requiring intensive monitoring, advanced life support equipment, and rapid clinical decision-making in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and respond to acute changes in patient condition; escalate care as needed
• Manage ventilators, arterial lines, central lines, hemodynamic monitors, and other advanced equipment
• Administer medications, including titratable vasoactive and sedation drips, per physician orders
• Collaborate with intensivists, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team on plan of care
• Perform rapid response and code interventions
• Educate patients and families on condition, treatment, and discharge needs
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient response accurately
• Maintain patient ratios per acuity and facility guidelines
• Follow infection control and safety protocols

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (Kentucky or compact license)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification
• 2+ years of acute care ICU/critical care experience
• 2+ years of experience with electronic health records
• ADN or BSN; BSN preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• CCRN certification
