Pediatric Nursing — Travel Contract | Nights | Des Moines, IA

Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 3x12s

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Start Date: November 9, 2026

This pediatric unit provides care across a broad spectrum of specialties, including Hematology/Oncology, Medical-Surgical, and general pediatric populations. Travelers in this role will float as needed to the PICU, NICU, Pediatric ED, and Peds Hem/Onc areas.

Schedule Details:

• Every 3rd weekend required
• Holiday rotation required; expect to work 1–2 of the following: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day
• No on-call obligations

Clinical Requirements:

• Minimum 12 months of pediatric nursing experience within the previous 18 months
• Active Iowa RN license or Compact/Multistate license required at time of submission
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• PALS certification (AHA) required
• Pediatric-specific skills checklist required
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, or director within the past 24 months (preferred)
• Valid driver's license required

Candidate Eligibility:

• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (verified by driver's license)
• First-time travelers welcome with qualifying experience
