RN – ICU Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to join its ICU team on a 13-week contract. You'll work nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 36 hours per week, providing coordinated care for a patient population requiring high-acuity nursing.
Clinical Scope
Deliver evidence-based nursing care using the nursing process: assess patient health status, analyze findings, develop individualized care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes. Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, effective patient care. Supervise and coordinate activities of various nursing staff levels. Participate in patient and family education and discharge planning.
Requirements
- Current RN licensure in California
- Minimum 2 years recent acute-care experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification required
- AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS certification required
- Demonstrated proficiency with electronic health record systems
Schedule
Night shift, 36 hours weekly. Holiday requests are not approved during the contract period.
