ICU Nurse – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced ICU nurse for a 13-week contract assignment. You'll work nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) in a conglomerate critical care unit managing medical, surgical, and cardiovascular patients.
Clinical Scope
This is a high-acuity environment where you'll care for patients across the critical care continuum, including:
- Post-procedural cases (TAVR, CABG, CEA)
- Acute cardiovascular events (STEMI, heart failure, CVA)
- Respiratory support (mechanical ventilation, HFNC, respiratory failure, ia)
- Advanced therapies (IABP, Impella, CRRT, TTM)
- Medical emergencies (sepsis, DKA, GIB, TNK)
You'll also float between the ICU and Step Down units within the critical care service line.
Requirements
- Minimum three years of ICU nursing experience
- Current RN licensure (Nursys verification required)
- Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills for a mixed-acuity population
- Ability to manage complex hemodynamic and respiratory support
- Flexibility to float between units
Onboarding
Standard credentials include drug screening, background check, vaccinations (MMR, Tdap, Varicella, Hepatitis B, influenza), TB testing, EKG competency exam, and specialty skills validation.
