Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN — Night Shift | Winston-Salem, NC

This 13-week night-shift contract (18:45–07:15, 3×12-hour shifts) places you on an active surgical unit caring for adult and geriatric patients recovering from colorectal, general surgery, hepatobiliary, vascular, and orthopedic/spine procedures.

Clinical Scope

• Post-surgical patient population with complex care needs including wound management, surgical drains, epidural analgesia, PCA, IV insulin protocols, heparin protocols, and central/PICC line management
• Experience with GI surgeries (e.g., colon resections) and orthopedic/spine post-op care strongly preferred
• Interdisciplinary team includes IV therapy, respiratory, rapid response, and pharmacy support

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience; post-surgical background required
• First-time travelers considered
• BLS required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred
• Must pass EKG interpretation assessment prior to start
• NC or compact license required (pending accepted at submission)

Schedule & Unit Details

• Night shift: 18:45–07:15 | Every other weekend required
• Occasional float within the facility
• Self-scheduling based on unit needs and manager input
• 36-hour unit orientation
• Scrubs: Navy blue or white (not provided)

Attendance Policy

RTO cannot be requested after booking. Call-offs may result in contract cancellation. Up to 7 pre-approved RTO days available (excluding holidays); must work 2 of 3 major holidays. No RTO during the first week.

Contract Details

• Duration: 13 weeks (extensions available through February 2027)
• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• Local candidates (within 50 miles) accepted at an adjusted rate
