Travel NICU RN | Denver, CO | Nights | 13-Week Contract
A Level III NICU in Denver, CO is seeking an experienced Neonatal ICU RN for a 13-week travel assignment. This night shift position runs 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM with 36 guaranteed hours per week, with a target start date of late September 2026.
Unit Overview
This unit cares for a high-acuity neonatal population, including micropreemies as young as 23 weeks gestation. The clinical scope includes oscillatory ventilation, conventional vents, bubble CPAP, central line management, ABG interpretation, pump feeds, and telemedicine support. NICU nurses attend all high-risk deliveries and support transition care in the delivery setting.
Typical Procedures
- Circumcisions and pneumothorax taps
- Intubation and chest tube assistance (Level III procedures)
- PIV placement, medication and blood administration
- Blood draws via arterial, heel stick, and venous access
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care NICU RN experience
- Level III or Level IV NICU background required
- BLS and NRP certifications required
Preferred Qualifications
- PICU experience
- PALS certification
