Surgical Technician
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Surgical Technician to support surgical procedures and perioperative patient care. You'll work in the operating room, assisting the surgical team while maintaining the highest standards of sterility, patient safety, and clinical excellence.
Shift & Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM
- Occasional call availability until 7:00 PM
- No overnight call or weekend shifts
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 13-week contract
Key Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons and the surgical team during procedures
- Prepare and maintain the surgical environment per hospital and departmental standards
- Handle surgical instruments and supplies with attention to sterility and safety
- Support patient care in accordance with established protocols
Qualifications
- Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited Surgical Technology program
- Current BLS/BCLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Experience preferred but not required; new graduates welcome
Required Clearances
Standard pre-employment and health screenings apply, including immunizations (MMR, Varicella, Polio, Hepatitis B, TDaP, Flu), tuberculosis testing, physical exam, background check, and drug screen. Details will be provided upon offer acceptance.
