Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Location: Rockport, TX

Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

About the Role

You'll join the emergency department as a night shift RN, providing direct patient care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This is a high-acuity setting where you'll work alongside a team of 3 RNs (including a Charge RN) managing 3–4 patients per nurse.

Clinical Scope

The department handles a wide range of emergency cases. You'll perform or assist with:

• IV insertion and blood draws
• 12-lead EKGs
• Foley catheter placement
• Orthopedic splinting and wound care
• Patient monitoring and stabilization

Standard equipment includes vital sign monitors, BiPAP, ventilators, nebulizers, and AEDs.

Requirements

• Current RN license (state specific)
• BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications required
• Emergency department experience strongly preferred
• Willingness to float within the emergency department as needed
• Weekend work expected
