Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse
Position Overview
The facility is seeking experienced Pre-Op/PACU nurses for a 13-week contract assignment. You'll work in the pre-operative and post-anesthesia care unit, supporting patients through surgical preparation and immediate post-operative recovery.
Schedule & Hours
- 4 ten-hour day shifts per week (6:00 am – 4:30 pm)
- 72 guaranteed hours biweekly
- One 24-hour weekend call shift per month
- Three night calls per month (11:00 pm – 7:00 am)
- 30-minute response time required on call
- Weekends and holidays required
- Requests for time off exceeding 4 days will not be approved
Required Qualifications
- Current Massachusetts RN license
- Minimum 2 years recent pre-operative experience
- AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (required in submission packet)
- Current flu vaccination (medical exemptions only)
- Pass ECG/Telemetry and Medications competency tests (85% passing score; one attempt only; administered within 48 hours of start date via Zoom)
Important Details
- Biweekly orientation provided
- No float requirement
- Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
- Candidates who have worked for this facility within the past 6 months are not eligible
