ICU Nurse – 13-Week Contract
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced ICU nurse for a 13-week assignment in a conglomerate critical care unit. You will care for patients across medical, surgical, and cardiovascular populations with high acuity conditions.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Contract duration: 13 weeks
- Start date: November 15, 2026
Clinical Scope
You'll manage complex cases including post-operative cardiac patients (TAVR, CABG, CEA), stroke (CVA), acute coronary syndromes (STEMI), heart failure, sepsis, respiratory failure, DKA, GI bleed, and trauma (thoracotomy, fem-pop procedures). Daily responsibilities include mechanical ventilation management, high-flow nasal cannula, TTM, IABP, Impella support, and CRRT.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years ICU experience
- Current RN license (verified through Nursys)
- ACLS certification
- Ability to float between ICU and Step Down units within the critical care service line
- Willing to complete required onboarding assessments (drug screen, EKG exam, specialty exam, charting system competency)
- Standard vaccinations and health screening per facility protocol
