Sonographer – Ultrasound
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Sonographer for a 13-week contract assignment. You'll work rotating day shifts (8:00 AM – 6:30 PM, four 10-hour days) with no on-call requirements during your scheduled shifts.
Required Qualifications
- ARDMS certification (ABD and RVT preferred)
- Proven experience with transplant ultrasounds, Doppler studies, and renal artery stenosis evaluation
- BLS certification
Clinical Scope
You'll perform a wide range of ultrasound procedures including abdominal, obstetrical, gynecological, and vascular exams. Responsibilities include:
- Patient interviews, chart review, and equipment selection
- Assistance with sterile invasive procedures (amniocenteses, biopsies, thoracenteses, cyst punctures)
- Image acquisition, PACS documentation, and preliminary interpretation
- Portable ultrasound support in the O.R., ICU, Emergency Department, and nursing floors
- High-level disinfection of transducers per infection control standards
- Technical mentoring and resource support to team members
After demonstrating required expertise, you may participate in on-call coverage shared with fellow sonographers.
Key Details
- Contract Guarantee: 72 hours biweekly
- Start Date: November 9, 2026 (orientation begins the following Monday)
- Relocation: Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Time Off: RTO requests (maximum 1 week) must be submitted at application
Non-negotiable: ARDMS certification verification and BLS card required before start date.
