Registered Nurse – Medical Step Down Unit

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced RN for its medical step down unit in Atlanta, GA. This 13-week contract offers day shifts on a 4x12 schedule with guaranteed 48 hours per week.

Unit & Patient Population

You'll care for acutely ill patients transitioning from critical care, managing conditions including sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, substance use disorders, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy. Patient-to-nurse ratios support safe, attentive care.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience
• Current RN license
• ACLS and BLS certifications required

Schedule & Contract

• Day shift, four 12-hour shifts per week
• 48 guaranteed hours weekly
• 13-week contract
• Start date: November 2, 2026
