Med/Surg Registered Nurse — Boston, MA

This is a night-shift Med/Surg travel position based in Boston, MA, offering a long-term contract opportunity for an experienced RN who thrives in a fast-paced, adaptable environment.

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week guaranteed
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Contract length: 96 weeks | Start date: October 5, 2026

Unit & Clinical Scope

The Med/Surg unit serves acute care patients across a range of medical and surgical conditions. Nurses are expected to float between units as needed and adapt quickly to varying patient populations. Core skills utilized daily include IV insertion, telemetry monitoring, and phlebotomy.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience
• Proficient in IVs, telemetry, and phlebotomy
• Must pass a telemetry competency test on day 1 with a score of 85% or higher
• Active Massachusetts RN license
• BLS certification
• Government-issued ID with mailing address

Preferred Qualifications

• 3–5 years of acute care experience
• Preceptor experience

Additional Notes

Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will be compensated at a local rate. This is a high-volume, longer-term placement ideal for a clinician looking for stability and clinical variety in a dynamic acute care setting.
