ICU Travel Nurse – Night Shift | Colorado | 13-Week Contract

This opportunity is in an intensive care unit managing high-acuity patients with complex medical needs. Common diagnoses include chest pain, dyspnea, altered neurological status, abdominal pain, fever, and traumatic injury. The unit is fast-paced and well-supported, with intensivist/hospitalist coverage in-house and respiratory therapy available around the clock.

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 6–9 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule (self-scheduling and block scheduling available)
• Float within the zone may be required based on unit needs

Clinical Requirements

• Active RN license (Colorado)
• Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Must be proficient in titrating vasopressors, inotropes, sedatives, analgesics, metabolic drips, and specialized infusions
• Comfortable managing ventilated patients; respiratory support includes CPAP, BiPAP, high-flow, and mechanical ventilation
• RNs interpret their own cardiac monitoring strips
• NIHSS experience required

• Contract duration: 13 weeks | Start date: November 9, 2026
• Scrub color: Navy blue
• Candidate must reside within 60 miles of the facility; valid driver's license required
• Must be present in-state for the full orientation week, even if initial modules are remote
• Cancellation policy: up to 4 shifts may be cancelled per 13-week contract
• BSN not required
