NICU RN – Night Shift
Position Overview
Join the NICU at a Children's Hospital as a Level III/IV Registered Nurse working nights. You'll provide compassionate care to critically ill and premature neonates in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
Shift & Schedule
- Hours: 19:00 – 07:00 (3x12-hour shifts per week)
- Contract: 26 weeks
- Start Date: November 16, 2026
- Weekend Coverage: 6 shifts per 6-week period (self-scheduled)
- Float: Yes, between NICU units as needed
Requirements
- Experience: 2+ years NICU nursing; Level III experience preferred
- Certifications: BLS and NRP Advanced
- License: Compact license required at submission
- References: Two professional references within the past three years
Clinical Scope
Key Skills
- Ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP)
- Central line and arterial line care
- Blood product administration
- Neonatal resuscitation and APGAR scoring
- Developmental and family-centered care
- Phototherapy, thermoregulation, and gavage feeding

- Daily census: 35 patients
- 43 total beds
- Interpretation services available
- 12-hour orientation provided
