Med/Surg Telemetry RN — Night Shift | Burlington, MA
13-week Contract | 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
This Med/Surg Telemetry unit cares for a diverse patient population across a range of acuity levels. Nurses on this unit may float to ED holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other boarding areas as needed, in 4-hour blocks during the shift.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 72 guaranteed hours biweekly (on-call hours not included)
- Every other weekend required (Fri/Sat/Sun for night shift)
- Weekly start dates (Mondays)
- No holiday time off approved during the Christmas period

Clinical Requirements
- Telemetry experience required
- Prior trauma experience strongly preferred; candidates without prior travel experience must have trauma background
- Day-one pass/fail competency testing administered upon start; Relias practice tests provided in advance
Float Expectations
- Float to ED holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and boarding units
- Floating occurs in 4-hour blocks; consecutive floating blocks are uncommon but possible
