Emergency Room RN — Los Angeles, CA

Day Shift | 13-Week Contract

This Emergency Room RN role is based at a community hospital in the greater Los Angeles area, serving a culturally diverse patient population with a broad range of acute and emergency presentations.

Shift & Schedule

• Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week (3x12 or potential 4x12 scheduling)
• Holiday RTO will not be approved during the contract period

Clinical Scope

• Deliver coordinated nursing care across a fast-paced emergency department
• Manage patients with varying acuity, applying critical thinking and independent clinical judgment
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, monitor progress, and adjust as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including patients, families, and specialists
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
• Supervise and delegate appropriately to supporting nursing staff

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Active RN license in California (or compact equivalent)
• BLS (American Heart Association)
• ACLS
• PALS
• NIH Stroke Scale certification

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of recent emergency nursing experience
• Proficiency with electronic health records is required

Education

• BSN preferred
