Travel RN – NICU | Denver, CO | Night Shift
This Level III NICU opportunity is a 13-week contract supporting a busy neonatal unit in Denver, Colorado. The unit provides comprehensive care for premature and medically complex newborns with a strong emphasis on family-centered practice.
Shift & Schedule
- Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
Clinical Scope
Nurses manage a diverse neonatal patient population requiring respiratory support, vascular access, and nutritional interventions. Common modalities and procedures include:
- Non-invasive positive pressure ventilation (NIPPV)
- High-flow and low-flow nasal cannula therapy
- Peripheral IV placement and central line management
- Gastric tube placement
- Circumcisions and retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) exams
- Incubator care
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of current hospital-based NICU experience
- Level III NICU experience required
- BLS and NRP certifications (current)
Preferred Qualifications
- Pediatric nursing experience
- Prior neonatal charting system experience
