Med/Surg – Neuro Unit | Nashville, TN | Night Shift | 13-Week Contract

This travel RN opportunity is on a Neuro Med/Surg unit in Nashville, TN. The unit manages a neurological and general medical/surgical patient population, providing care that includes stroke-related diagnoses, chest pain, and post-surgical recovery.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 3 twelve-hour shifts per week (36 hours guaranteed)
• 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule
• Contract duration: 13 weeks
• Start date: November 9, 2026

Unit Overview

• Tech support available on both day and night shifts
• Unit secretary coverage from 7 AM to 7 PM
• Contract staff are first to float; rotation applied when multiple travelers are scheduled

Clinical Skills & Procedures

• Med/Surg experience required
• IV insertion, basic wound care
• Maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
• Ability to prioritize care and manage a higher-acuity patient load
• Commitment to bedside shift report and patient/family-centered care planning

Requirements

• Active RN license (Tennessee or compact)
• BLS certification required

Dress Code

• Navy scrubs, tops and bottoms
