MICU Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced ICU nurse for a 13-week contract in the Medical ICU, working nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). This is a full-time position with 36 guaranteed hours per week.
Unit Details
Clinical Scope
This unit routinely performs:
- External ventricular drains (EVDs) and lumbar drains
- Central line placements
- Thoracentesis and paracentesis procedures
- Targeted temperature management (TTM)
- Continuous hemodynamic monitoring and critical care protocols
Requirements
- Current RN license (Virginia)
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- ICU experience required
- PALS and TNCC certifications preferred
Schedule & Expectations
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend (no on-call)
- Flexible scheduling; block scheduling not required
- Float throughout the facility as needed
Dress Code
Navy blue scrubs
