Hospice Nurse – 12-Week Contract

Position Overview

The facility seeks a compassionate Hospice Nurse to join a dedicated end-of-life care team. You'll provide intensive medical and emotional support to patients and families during their most meaningful moments, working in a home-like setting designed for dignity and comfort.

Shift & Schedule

• Three 12-hour rotating shifts (including nights)
• On-call requirement: 2 shifts per month
• 12-week contract
• Three-day orientation (8am–5pm) before transitioning to assigned shift

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive end-of-life care for patients who prefer a non-hospital setting
• Assess symptoms with clinical excellence and manage pain and comfort needs
• Work as a generalist across all disease processes with specialized symptom management expertise
• Help patients and families articulate personal goals of care
• Provide holistic support: physical, emotional, social, and spiritual
• Educate and empower caregivers to participate in their loved one's care

What We're Looking For

• RN license (current and unrestricted)
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to thrive in a patient-centered, personalized care environment
• Compassion and emotional resilience
• Experience in hospice or palliative care preferred
