Med Surg

Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical & Respiratory Unit | Nights | Zanesville, OH

This 13-week contract places you primarily on a Respiratory unit — which includes the care of patients with complex pulmonary and infectious conditions — with occasional floating to Med-Surg units covering Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED boarders.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 36 hours/week (three 12-hour shifts)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirement

Patient Population & Clinical Scope

You'll manage moderate-to-high acuity patients across a respiratory-focused unit and a variety of Med-Surg specialties. Telemetry monitoring and interpretation is a core expectation — candidates will be assessed on this competency on day one.

Required Qualifications

• Active Ohio RN license
• Active BLS certification
• Minimum 3 years of current/recent Telemetry and/or Stepdown experience
• Demonstrated EMR proficiency (current, hands-on — independent proficiency is required on day one; no remedial training will be provided)

Important Notes

• Start date: November 16, 2026 — no exceptions
• All requested time off must be disclosed at time of submission
• The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 36 hours per contract period
