Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN – Night Shift

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN for night shift coverage. You'll provide direct patient care to a diverse population requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and telemetry surveillance.

Shift & Schedule

• Night shift: 3 x 12-hour (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• 13-week contract
• Start date: November 13, 2026
• Scheduling details and time off to be discussed during interview

Required Qualifications

• 12 months of permanent Med-Surg/Telemetry experience
• Permanent Ohio or compact state RN license (in hand at submission)
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIHSS certification prior to start (or willingness to obtain)
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director who supervised you in the past 12 months (no peer references)

Clinical Skills

• ECG rhythm interpretation and dysrhythmia management
• Proficiency with telemetry systems and cardiac monitoring
• You will complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and medication safety assessment during orientation; acceptable scores on both are required (maximum 2 attempts)

What to Know

• Pre-start orientation modules required (6–15 hours average)
• Background check, drug screening, and fingerprinting required
• Annual hands-on competency required if contract extends beyond one year
• Nicotine-free requirement applies (nurses exempt per current policy)
